Strategic Planning and Staff Management as Determinants of Post-Graduate Programmes' Effectiveness in Universities

This study linked strategic planning and staff management relatively cumulatively to the effectiveness of post-graduate programmes at two public Nigerian universities. The was directed by formulation testing three null hypotheses. entire population 157 administrators (including 24 deans 133 HODs) participated in a survey, where questionnaire used elicit responses. designed researcher but validated five experts. reliability for internal consistency determined using Cronbach's alpha, with acceptable indices. Data obtained were analysed Pearson correlation multiple linear regression analyses. In bivariate sense, both significantly correlated respectively. Cumulatively, predictors are responsible explaining 57% variation programmes, remaining 43% unexplained variance attributable other extraneous variables. composite contribution verified be statistically significant.
